ONE\THIRD is a gathering of minds and interest groups representing the entire food chain from ‘farm to fork’, public authorities and the research community to help combat and prevent food loss and food waste.

Our seven visionary board members are headed by Flemming Besenbacher. They set the direction of the think tank in order to support the work of our 55 associated members. We are also supported by an inspiring international panel of experts.

Advising the goverment

Offering recommendations to the Danish Government will be one of our privileges.

The think tank will offer recommendations within the focus areas: Support for civil society's battle against food waste and food losses, the general business opportunities for Danish companies, on how to overcome barriers to preventing food waste and food losses, ensuring data collection and impact assessment and on cooperateing with foreign partners on know-how and sharing of experiences.

DENMARK AGAINST FOOD WASTE

We are working on a voluntary agreement that brings together business and organizations across the value chain to reduce food waste in accordance with SDG 12.3: By 2030, halve per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reduce food loses along preoduction and supply chains, including post-harvest losses.
